Okay so I'm at my hobby shop today and todays arrival was the M51. I didn't buy it only because I wasn't sure what kind of opinion its getting. Looks like a nice build up. Dimensions and such pretty accurate?

Another thing about it is that out of the box, the kit cannot be built as a vehicle for the '67 or '73 wars due to the engine deck configuration being incorrect for those conflicts. The engine deck in the kit is set up in a post '73 war configuration. That maybe because the vast majority of M51's in museums and in private collections are in this same configuration and that's what DML used for reference. However, the decals called out for in the instructions are for a vehicle in 1967.
