I'm taking a break from my other dio build. I've been staring at it for weeks with no progress. Hehe. Well anyway, I have this Tamiya U.S. Infantry set item # 35086 in my stash.

I already assembled the .30 cal. machine gunner. Any ideas or suggestions for a scene?

This is the second diorama I did with these two guys
Review I also did one where they were dug in behind sand bags at the end of a hedge row.
The 50 cal figure is begging to be put on the top of a building or on the beach at Midway.

Thanks, scott. A small building sounds good. I'm not really into WW2 modeling but I'll give it a go...nice dio, BTW

Here's a few other ideas.

Thanks,Dave. Were the uniforms used in Iwo Jima any different than other uniforms used in WW2?

These figures are wearing army uniforms from Europe, thye would not fit the uniforms, certainly of the Marines on Iwo.
