Does anyone have a close up of the type of aerial mount mounted on the front of British Sherman III's, or suggest a good reference. I cannot be sure if it is the rubber cup or ball type.
Any help or advice appreciated.

Cheers
Kevin

Hi Kevin: I thought I answered this for you already. Maybe I'm mistaken. I've seen pictures of Polish SHerman IIIs (transferred from UK stocks) that have the "onion bulb" antenna base on the glacis antenna pot. I don't have many clear pics of command UK Sherman IIIs but I think the Polish units wouldn't have been different.

Hello Roy,

Yes you have already answered my question on another site. I just thought I would ask on a couple of others as it seems to be "quiet" all round.
I have very few photos of the aerial mounts and most of those are distant shots. Kit wise I had two choises a cup type affair or a conical ( onion bulb ) mount on a disc containing six small bolts. Both options are from Formations. I went for the conical ( onion bulb ) after your suggestion.
Thanks again.

Cheers
Kevin
