Hi all, just had my order of the Ironside Bus shot down, not in stock for the last 9 months that I waited. Anyway does anyone know where I can find one here in North America.

hey,
Ive got one of those vacu, from airpress, for the Opel chassis, not very good quailty,,and if my memory serves me right, the Opel bus was built on a different chassis, than the Opel "Blitz" truck, the bus chassis had a lower chassis, giving it a lower profile, good thing i dont have much invested in the airpress,i'am going to wait ,myself to find one of those by ironside.

A little off track: but worthy of note if your into WW2-era buses...

I know this is not the same vehicle but Leas Warrior has a pretty cool new bus and I have really liked their products in the past. It is a conversion and requires the tamiya Steyr... but still pretty nifty....

I can't believe that Azimut kit went for such a high price! I have this kit and just started it a few weeks ago...and to be honest it is terrible quality. I had to use the front hood and fenders from an old Italeri kit, and all the sides had to be scratch built. The interior is even worse, especially the dash! There is no texture on the floor, so you have to add the wood slats yourself. Its just a really sloppy kit.

That leadwarrior stuff looks real good, they definitely have a thing for the Steyr 1500!

I also heard about the Azimut kit and would now not order it. I am waiting for the new Panzer Resin Model kit of the Blitz Bus.

There is an Air Model Conversion on E-bay right now Aug 23 with two days to go. I have one at home and if you are a good scratch/conversioner it isn't a bad model. It is not an Opel, but a MAN. Its listed under 1/35 conversions as an omnibus conversion. So far its at about 8 bucks. Good luck and happy scratch building. As Ensign Parker used to say, "Gutsy is what gutsy does" joleary
