In order to bring its monstrous size into sharper relief, I'd like to include one or more crewmen with my Dragon 1/35 Maus. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for possibilities. I was thinking of something fairly non-dynamic, just a crewman sitting on the massive turret or the front deck next to the driver's hatch, looking like he came up for a breather in the middle of the road tests for the steel behemoth, or what have you.
I'm probably going to pose the front hatch open to show off the interior parts in Eduard's set, so the overall mood of the piece would and should be relaxed, not in active combat. If I manage to put together the awe-inspiring PE ladder in the Eduard set, I suppose I could pose one guy on it, perhaps taking some tools or supplies up to a waiting driver. That'd also open the door towards making a base for the vehicle, perhaps a small maintenance vignette,.
Ideas and suggestions for suitable figures welcome.

That's what I'd recommend. Fairly decent figures.

Thank you! the Tamiya set looks like it'd serve the purpose very well indeed.

Tristar has a Normandy tank crew that could be used for late war as well. The figures are excellent and would look very good on the Maus.
