Hi guys,
I'm after the Eduard PE set for the Tamiya 1/35 scale Universal carrier but cant find from my normal selection of online hobby shops (netmerchants, hannants and historex) can anyone else help me track it down? Id rather use shops in the UK as im on a budget and dont want to pay over the odds for postage if neccesary!
The kit is as follows:

Set 35364, PE for the Tamiya Universal Carrier kit (1/35)

Also does anyone do any replacement tracks for the kit? I know modelkasten do a set - again, can anyone find me a UK shop selling this?

I know theres a resin/PE upgrade set, and some resin conversion kits but these aren't what im after. Just the PE from Eduard and possibly a replacement track set. Any other hints or tips would also be appreciated!

Many thanks,

James

Besides Modelkasten, IMA of Hong Kong has a set of resin replacement tracks for USD22. The online store Lionmarc carries them.

I haven't seen them but they might be easier to assemble than the Modelkasten ones.

Resicast is the maker of several resin upgrade/conversions.

Hi James,

Accurate Armour are bring out a replacement set for the Bren Carrier. I'm waiting to compare prices before I decide which to go for.

Also check out some of the Resicast conversion kits if you're looking for something different, it might be cheaper in the end, most include tracks and wheel replacements.

Cheers

Al

Thanks for the replies guys!

Roy, I hadn't seen those tracks and being cheaper than the model kasten set appear to be a viable alternative! Thankyou for drawing my attention to them. Now all I need is a UK distributor!

Alan, Same goes for the accurate armour set, thank you. They seem to be set for release in April so lets hope we hear something soon!

Any help with finding the Eduard PE set in the UK much appreciated!

Cheers,

James

Also, while i'm on the subject, I once read a great online how to on someone who updated the tamiya kit with resicast's kit which I now can't find for the life of me!
Anyone know what i'm on about or knows of any other articles?

Much apreciated,

James

Hi guys,
Was just thinking that if maybe someone could suggest other good UK online model shops aside from the ones listed (netmerchants, hannants, historex) I could check them out to see if they have the kit in stock?

Please help!

If its the Modelkasten tracks you're after, I got mine via Accurate Armour some time ago. They may still have them available.

Hi James,
you could try F and F Models,he usually holds stock of Eduard and AA.
Try his website at fandfmodels,or try [email protected].
His phone number is 01283 550421.
Ask for John, and his postage costs are reasonable and if its in stock, delivery times are very good.
Regards....Dave.
