--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My good friend and mentor Dieter Mattingly passed away today at the young age of 63, Dieter sorta took me in under his wings shortly after I relocated to Ft.Hood Texas back in 83, he and I and Bob Bethea were the best of friends for all these years.
We had our annual gathering every June in Tulsa in the back room of the Hussar, sucking down free beers and all, hell it was like a family reunion.

Dieter relocated to Tulsa in the late 80's ( get away from the ex) and started a new life there, he was treated like a king in Tulsa by Mike, Mark and the boys and felt like that life was treating him good.

Dieter came to visit me back in October on the way to the MMSI show in Chicago and we had a great time together, I will miss that crazy S.O.B.

Dieter recently moved to Arizona for a new job and was just getting unpacked from the move when he died from a massive heart attack this morning 4-11-2007, Dieter was born on December 8th,1943 in the Munich region of Germany.

LUV Ya Dieter and Auf Wiedersehen ! .....Mrosko

My condolences, Chris.

I don't know you personally and I didn't know Dieter either, but having recently lost an old friend in similar circumstances I can sympathise.

Crack open a beer, drink to your friend and remember the good times - it helps, I find.

Best wishes - Steve
