Just a little insanity here.
Decided to do a radiator, now I know it doesn't have the proper number of vertical tubes, but with the front screen and rear screen in place you really aren't going to see too much anyway.
Just wondering if I should finish it up or toss the idea?

Looks good Dave. Even if it's a bit 'wonkey', one could rationalize that it was a bashed-up, field-built, hand-tooled, jerry-rigged, cobbled-up piece of equipment.

With the back screen on, you can't see the tubes any longer.
So if anyone else is contemplating this, just the front-back screens will work out fine, and give a good illusion.

Looks good - go ahead and use it. It will definently add a little extra to the kit.

Obviously you used the improper weave for the screen ....sheesh, should 72 strands per inch not the 71 as you have depicted....what were you thinking? Seriously, looks great Dave. A little paint, and some weathering and you're in business. Good work. "Q"

Thanks for the morning laugh Matthew.
Unfortunately I didn't have any square mesh for the radiator grill, and had to use diagonal mesh, which will drive a few "Puritans" over the edge. But I promise on my mothers grave to pick up the "puritian square mesh" the next visit to the local hobby shop for any future bits of insanity.

Mesh can be found in many other places which are not hobby shops.
Check out the woven mesh used for doing decorations on flower arrangements (visit a Florist shop) or go to a haberdashery and have
a look at the various ribbons on sale.
