Looking very nice Bob.

I have yet to start my kit and I've had it almost 2 years. It's always nice to see what another modeller has done. Good luck with the painting. :-)

Nice build. Very clean and well done. Is the engine compartment open? The two hatches in the front are open. Can you (or do you want to) add some engine type component in there?
All the DW's I've seen have been a base OD. I'd start by masing the wheels and anything else that won't be OD and giving it a good bath in OD first. Then go back and tweak details. Give it a nice dark wash, a little dust of pastels and you're good to go. Oh yea after the OD gloss coat for decal areas, add decals then cover with dull coat, the wash and pastel.

Looks good. I would think a tank being transported like that would have the bareel travle lock engaged, wouldn't it?

Nice clean build you have going there Bob...mine is still sitting in the box waiting for me to show it some sort of attention, it'll have to wait a while yet. How much extra detail did you add?

That's already an impressive model without any paint. After reading some of the posts, I don't feel so alone anymore. I was under the impression that I was the only modeler who loves all things OD who hadn't built a dragon wagon yet.
Keep up the great work and let us see what it looks like once you paint it!

Im another that can join the "I dont have a dragon wagen club". Mind you, I could join the "I dont have a famo club" or the "I have a Tiger and havent built it yet club" as well. These models are something Im building up to! (thats what i tell myself) I want to believe I can give them the respect they deserve! One day!
You are a braver man than me Sohcahtoa. As the others have said .... nice clean build and looking forward to seeing it painted! They are tempting though??!!??

Looking great Bob. I bet you can't wait to get some paint on her and watch all those details come to life.

Thank you all for the kind comments. I forgot to mention that the Sherman I put on the trailer was just for looks. I plan on putting a M5 Stuart and a M8 Howitzer Motor Carriage on the trailer.

seen a mdel recently somewhere where the guy had the same cargo. The effect was really good because he had one the pay-loads really dirty and rusted and the other contrasted so well as it was cleaner. 3 different vehicles with olive drab but all different shades of weathering! Something to keep in mind maybe!

real nice build. Did you use any aftermarket or is it straight out of the box? I too have had this kit sitting on the shelf for a couple of years, but was wondering if an update/detail kit was worth purchase kit stuff looks so good. Like the man says mask it and paint it son. Then go back and wear it away. Those monsters would have plenty of wear and tear showing on them. Pulling a 30-40 ton tank up the ramp would definitely make a lot of paint disappear

The model has been build out of the box. it has amazing detail and doesn't need an update/detail kit but it wouldn't hurt. you get an amazing model if you build it OOB. its pretty multi media to begin with.
In response to slodder: The engine compartment isn't open. The engine is in closed in its own box(armored?) within the cab. The armored flaps in the front would be opened in friendly territory to let air into the radiator, but closed in combat.
