I can help on Italian standards. The empty sanbag mesures 35x70 cm (this means 1x2 cm in 1/35). Hope this can help...

umm, i know this may sound stoooopid, but when german machinegunner shooting from a sandbag position, was he supposed to be in prone, crouching or standing position ?

I Believe crouching with 2 Others with him a Loader and a Barrel Changer and one would be a spotter I believe But Just so ya know im not a genius around WWII

If you look in to it that you can find how big the pieces of milliput should be (in 1/35 scale)
