Well, I wanted to have this done for the Hummer Campaign, but that didn't happen! Then I said I was going to finish it for a show, but that didn't happen! Will I ever finish this darn thing. This time my new goal is set to finish this before the end of the month (I have a long 1 year vacation coming up.)
So with out futher delay, the finished interior before gluing the top down to it. After removing the drivers seat and cutting a good portion of it off, I managed to get the driver to sit in it without hitting the top of the roof. The figure came from Verlindens latest AFV/Hummmer crew. Some pf the printed material was made by me and others generously donated from two good men on this sight. A good soldier doesn't leave with ur his copy of Maxium or Hustler and not to mention the Army Times!
So what do you all think?

Looks good so far Pete, I like the dusty interior. Just enough to convey to idea of the environment.

Very nice.
Weathering the inside of the Humvee goes a long way to creating realism .I like it.
Pete, I look forward to seeing more of your humvee progress .
Excellent effort .
Cheers

Love it Pete!!! Another great build. And I'm very happy that it is not me who got to wash away the desert sand.

The Keyboard for the BFT is supposed to be mounted on the same mount as the screen.
And when I was in afghanistan, they were consifcating porno mags. FHM, Maxim and Stuff were ok. Hustler, no no.

Thanks AJ for the correction. I couldn't find the correct way to position it in the TM I had. Plus, I haven't had the oppertunity to first hand play with one yet, but that is going to change.
The key word is confiscated AJ. You know us GI's(not me personally) have ways of keeping or getting things that are no no.

Man that thing needs a cleaning. Did you remove the rear bulkhead? Or has it just not been added?
Without even trying, it looks like we are both pacing at the same speed. I still need to paint mine. But hey, its summer! Speaking of vacation, where ya heading?
This is simply great. Can't wait to see it done.

Jeff,
I didn't want to mention it yet till I had orders in my hand, but my VACATION is going to be in the big sand box overseas. I passed my SRP and was told what unit I was going with. I know the date of departure, just waiting to see if I will actually get orders to go. I will let you all know if and when I leave.
The bulkhead is attached to the hatchback/roof already. I should of snapped a shot or two of that.
Jeff(sgtreef),
With a little tutorial from Gino(HeavyArty), I made the magazines on PowerPoint. If you want, send me a good email and when I get to work Tuesday, I will send you the files.
Bob,
Yup, I plan on putting it in a dio with a team getting ready to enter courtyard/building. I also have a burnt out T-62 that I've been working on and was thinking of adding it. I was aslo thinking of adding either a Bradley or a M1A1. I've been collecting bits and peices here and there for it, but it might have to wait till I get back to get started on it.

Charles,
It's all MIG Powders. They are great! It took me a while to get enough guts to use them, but once I did, I can't turn back! The color I used is actually called Gulf War Sand P037

Your M1114 is coming along very nicely, Pete! I really love the weathering and the amount of detail you've crammed in. What is the cable heading from the front top windshield to the front of the hood? Will that be connected to one of the counter-IED gizmos in use now?

Pete,
Can you give me a heads up on how you made the handset cords? I am at the stage of putting them in my M1114, and yours look fantastic.

it looks pretty good, but you might already know this #1 the US Army Hummers don't use the fording kits and two you wont find any huslter mag in the vehicle. Over all it looks great.
