Howdy,I´m planning to purchase a Bandai 1/48 PzKw II so my question is:
are the Bandai kits accurate and good quality?why a Bandai kit reaches high prices on auctions (around $40USD) 1.- They're OOP 2.-Hard to find versions 3.-. Excellent quality kits
Is another brand issuing the PzKw II in this scale?
Should I wait to purchase for a future issue? Thanks!

Bandai kits were good for their day (late 1970s), but they came out just as 1/35 was becoming the predominant armor scale. The interiors are rudimentary/simplified with some being more accurate than others. They were the first armor kits to include what was considered to be full interiors.
Because of poor sales, they were discontinued in the early 80s. Frog/Fuman of China reissued several kits in the 90s but included peel and stick markings instead of waterslide decals. The ones reissued go for reasonable prices, the ones not reissued go for eBay prices.

The Panzer II is one of the later Bandai models and is better than their early stuff, the interior (IIRC) is still pretty bare though. It can be made to look good with some work.

The Pz II was a nice kit, better than the Tamiya kit in 1/35 scale. I have not seen one in many years. I know some of the more common Bandai kits go for between $25-40 on eBay. I recently sold the M13 AAA halftrack, Opel Maultier and Sd.Kfz. 7 for $25 each privately.
