Hi Guys

Does anyone know of a good source for 1/35 scale Marine figures. What I need are Marine figures of the Korean War era in winter gear. I have two boxes of the Dragon set. Are there any other sets out there ? Ideally I would like them to be in a semi relaxed walking pose, but anything close could be worked with.
Thanks in advance
Harry

For some reason, Marine figures, and plastic don't seem to mix. Far and few inbetween.
Resin you have more selection, but Korea- "The Forgotten War"- also appears as Korea- "The War of Little Selection"- when it comes to modeling. Probably because there weren't any Panzers there.

Hi all

I've been bouncing around the web this evening in search of "Winter Marines" I'm wondering if I could use Army figs in winter uniforms. Say somthing from late WWII, or is the gear too different ? If its just a color or something else minor, I thinking it would work. Or is my desperation / frustration starting to show ?

Ciao Harry,
I think that you have got the right idea of going with US Army and doing a little conversion. Pick up an Osprey or Concord book and then do some patchup on them. DML also has some winter Army figures (though I think that they are for Paras for the bulge.) They might work. Alas, they are in action poses, nothing relaxed like you are wanting. Have you checked into Verlinden? They are usually a good (pricey) choice for lots of diversity.
Hope it helps.
Ciao for now

@ Grumpy

Just could not pass this one

"the forgotten war" was littered with armor and all (fancy) sorts of vehicles.
Anything from Pershings and Shermans to the Russian T's used by the Chinese and not to mention other nations participating with their gear...

Did wonder though why it never picked up in the 1:35 world..

Hi Wolfe

Thanks for site. I checked them out. I didn't see anything right off, but I sent them an e-mail. I hope to hear back from them soon.

Thanks again
