Hello Gents
Here's a couple of images of my new figures.
It's a "rough" stage at the moment.
Comments are welcome, of course...!

sweet!
the footwear are telling they are americans but the collars look german to me...?
i could be wrong - but my initial guess is they are american tankers?
i'm loving the poses and body language - and of course those distinctly Alpine Miniatures wrinkles on the clothing

Hey Taesung
I see your reference search came to fruition!
These are beauts.
I can see an early M4 diorama in my future, with puddles after rain...
I like their interaction, and they will work well looking 'off' the diorama scene in a direction of action.
Cheers
Brad

Taesung, It was nice to see you in your element at MFCA 2007, I pointed you out to my mother and told her that you are one of the world master figure sculptors. (I was proud just to say that I have met you before at various shows). I walked her over to your vendor table and said, this is his stuff. She loved everything, right down to the design and marketing logos on your boxes. She did think that if table we were looking at was yours, it could have used some more "marketing love" since you are the manufacturer. In other words, always put your best foot forward when presenting your wares at a show. Signs ect. You know what I mean She can't help it, its in her blood, she's marketed for years.
As far as these two pieces go, I say continue on. You've not dissapointed us yet. The poses are natural, and pleasant to the eye. They tell the story and will open the door for many ideas for many modelers.

Thanks for the kind words, Gents.
Do you have any ideas for the head gear on the
figure in raincoat? I want a steel helmet on one
head. But for the second...?

I suppose a baseball cap is out of the question? Just seems very 'tanker-esque'.

I second the cap notion. You have them posed fairly casually, so it is safe to assume that they aren't on the front or there is a pause in the action. If I was in the rain in a situation like that, I wouldn't want my helmut on - too cold and wet. A simple wool cap - keeps the head warm and sheds most of the rain. If you really want to go out on a limb, give him a Broklyn Dogers hat!

Hi
I think that US forces were issued a wool cap wth a brim at that time period. A lot of soldiers wore that hat even under the steel helmets for warmth. So perhaps it would not be unnatural to see only a hat on the head and a helmet laying on a tank.

Agreed.
I think Taesung has only modelled one winter combat helmet before, and I guess this is what Pat is referring to, as it was 'flaps up'.
Another is definitely due...

Hello Gents
Thanks again for the compliments.
As for the head gear for the figure in the
raincoat, I like the idea of HBT field cap:
Would this be correct for US tankers in Normandy?
