1⁄48

The last few months, has seen an explosion in the (re-vitalised) scale of 1/48th armor. Leading the charge has been Tamiyaalthough other manufacturers are doubtless waiting in the wings to start their own ranges in this interesting scale...
Let me say at the outset, this will be the first story in an attempt to acquaint the users of Armorama with just what is happening and what is available in this relatively new market. I'm not going to try and compete with the 'dedicated' 1/48th scale sites, but rather as a serice to the builder who may want a fresh challenge. What I will be covering in some depth, will be releases from companies such as Hong Kong Workshop, Hauler and others (too numerous to mention) who are producing some very interesting After-Market material indeed.
Somehow, it seems appropriate, to begin with Tamiya. As they were the first to introduce 1/35th, to them goes the honor of being the first company to revitalise and enter strongly into the 1/48th market....
