Commander Models has come through with 2 new great looking releases, a conversion and full kit.
News in from Commander Models includes two new 1/35 scale releases. First is the M15 MGMC conversion for the Dragon M16. Second is the monthly special from Commander, the MBT70, a great looking tank. This kit would normally be priced at $159.95 USD, but this month it will be $127.95 USD, and if you order the AFV Club tracks with the kit, it will only increase the price by $15.00 USD.

2-004 – M15 MGMC conversion for Dragon M16
1-058 – MBT70

Armorama would like to thank Jon Warneke from Commander Models for providing the update.

Oh wow! And "Wow" again - an MBT 70 in 1:35! Now I no longer have to fret over freshening up my ancient 1:48 Aurora kit. What a coup for Commander Models. Brits of a certain age may, just may, recall the venerable "Eagle" comic (for boys of course!) which sometime in the 60s issued a cutaway illustration of this vehicle emphasising its variable suspension. We boys were all enthralled, even at the age of 9 or whatever, and back then we were pushed to cement an Airfix Tiger together. I further recall sometime in the 70s (during my military service) coming across a German military periodical (Soldat u. Technik?) which again emphasised the height difference possible with this vehicle. Decades later I was lucky enough to see the beast in the flesh at the Munsterlager Museum; "Wow" all over again I'm afraid. Hats off to Commander; whilst resin is never, or at least to me, anything but a challenge, I really must have one of these. I have no doubt that the pundits and "experten" will find fault - usually over the odd millimetre and so on - but I can only say thanks again Commander Models.

The MBT 70 is a great kit to see produced. It is for sure a legacy tank for modern armour...especially the Abrams and the Leopard 2.

Wow!! And to the usual high standard of casting too! This will certainly be a pleasure to build. I have a feeling that I will need to buy both of these .... / Robin

Paul, Excellent pics; I haven't visited Munsterlager since my German Language course decades ago and the beast was crammed together amongst others making any photography very difficult. It really is a beauty; I used to fantasize about a couple of 1:48 "What-ifs" using the Aurora kit (assuming I could find decent track replacements) and hoped to portray a couple in both US and Bundeswehr schemes and say, the modern NATO tri-colour version, as if it had come into service. Or perhaps the old MASSTER scheme? Gulf War even? Sorry, enthusiasm getting in the way here; got to get this one! Thanks again for the photos. Brian
