True Earth, known for water based weathering agents, is back in the news with a new product, and it is a little rusty.
A new rust colored structured filter is now available from True Earth. Ye Rust is a new liquid weathering agent great for patterned irregular washes, streak and leaks, and can be used on exhausts, tracks and more. Speaking from experience, I have found the True Earth products easy to use, with great results.

Thanks, Kevin. Dripping rust is actually hard to effect with pigments, so I would buy this product.

I don't think there is an actual definition for it, True Earth uses the term, I beleive, in reference to it is actually more then a filter or wash, it can also be used as a weathering pigment, just applied different. A filter and/or wash is generally to effect the color or highlight detail, while this structured filter from True Earth can be used to create rust spots, run offs, leaks, etc. I use alot of the True Earth products, like there Flowering Rust, Rust Bubbles, there create great effect. Their Paint Alteration filters are great too, I use then instead of traditional filters to get good color variation. So to actually answer your question, I don't really know. Kevin
