In this the final news release covering Black Dog for December we take a look at a couple of stowage sets one of which is specifically for the British Cruiser Mk II and the other a generic offering of modern British Army equipment and accessories. Also in this news release we see what I believe is the first full resin AFV from Black Dog in the form of a 1/72nd scale Sherman ARV.
I believe that Black Dog first came to the attention of most of us with their stowage set either generic or specific and they have continued to release these items that help bring your AFV models alive and helps to make them looked lived in. Black Dog has now released a British modern equipment accessories set and a British Cruiser Mk II accessories set for Bronco models offering both in 1/35th scale, the details speak for themselves as can be seen by the pictures provided with some of the highlights being the inclusion of clear water bottles and body armour.

Then we get to take a look at what I believe is the first full resin kit from Black Dog in the form of a 1/72nd scale Sherman Armoured Recovery Vehicle. Looking at the parts layout and images of the assembled vehicle I can see this model having a lot of appeal to the braille scale fan as Black Dog have done what they do best and also included some stowage for this vehicle doing away with the need for after-market accessories in this case. The tracks also caught my eye with the use of lengths of resin track runs which allow detail in this scale that cannot be replicated in other way. This is a great piece of news for the braille scale builders out there as it provides another manufacturer of full resin 1/72nd scale kits.

T72041 172 British ARV Sherman €17.00

T35082 135 British modern equipment accessories set €17.00
T35083 135 British Cruiser Mk Ii accessories set for Bronco models €18.50

One could accesorise a few HB Landys with that modern British equipment set. Maybe they'll do the same in 1/48 for the Airfix vehicles.....

Looks like they might have used Dragon's Sherman for a master. Just wondering which would be cheaper - Dragon's Sherman V with just the Black Dog conversion parts (if they released them alone), or the complete Black Dog kit as is.
