Russian company MasterClub has added a new product line, and it should help your AFV builds gain some traction.
A new product line is now available from MasterClub, metal tracks. Their first releases are now in their catalogue, and cover all Soviet equipment at this time. This list includes tracks for BMP’s, a BMD, BT-7, a few JS, KV and T-34. From the images it looks like the tracks are held together with plastic or resin pins, as opposed to wire. The names also state sprockets are supplied in some sets, but there were no images of them.

MTL-35023 – Tracks for T-34 M1943 “wafer”
MTL-35027 – Tracks for KV-1/KV-2
MTL-35028 – Tracks for JS-2/JS-3/ISU-122/KV-85/KV-1s
MTL-35029 – Tracks for JS-2/JS-3/ISU-122/ISU-152 Late
MTL-35032 – Tracks for BT-7
MTL-35040 – Tracks for BMD-1/BMD-2
MTL-35041 – Tracks and Drive Sprockets for BMP-1

The thing is ... they allready make tracks in resin, and they are fantastic. Very sharp detail and assemble like MK with small pins in each side so they are workable. Since Friul have raised their prices, there seems to be an interest for metal tracks.Wonder if this has anything to do with it?

Price is a question for sure, but metal is better than resin when they need to be taught. I would never build a Sherman again with plastic link tracks.

These look great, and worth looking at for the vehicles not having metal tracks available as yet. Is there a source in the US for them? Not sure what you mean by Friul raising the prices Frank? They have been 27Euros/$35 a set for years online, and $39.95 in the US for a long time as well. Second hand prices are usually $25 or so, I hope they haven't in other words... And I'm interested to see if Master Club can be used with the different blackening fluids too. It is great to see the expansion of this style of products, metal tracks have long been my favorite upgrade. Best, Mike

I read on a Russian site that Masterclub (roughly translated) "bowed to customer demand" to begin making these metal tracks. Also, unlike the resin sets, the link end holes are already "opened out" to receive the resin pins. As with the resin sets, the pins are tapered. So no gluing necessary. Tiger I and Panther sets are also due for release..

The late Tiger metal tracks have been listed since November here: ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-RELEASE-Pz-Kpfw-VI-Tiger-1-late-Type-Metal-Tracks Mike.

Thanks for that Mike, I didn't realise they were already available. But at that price , I think I'll stick with their resin sets.

Yow! Pricey ain't the word. Masterclub U.K. prices are about twice as expensive as what I pay for the same items when ordering from a dealer in Ukraine; and, that includes shipping.

Hi Joseph, Could you please let us know the name and web address of your Ukrainian dealer? If they're reputable and reliable, you should give them a pat on the back and mention them here. PM me please if you don't think it's appropriate to wave their flag here . I'm not that keen on 35GBP a set either, but these do look great.

Hobbyeasy carries a range of metal tracks from them. Great quality indeed. I've seen top reviews on PMMS too.
