It is looking like a new Japanese Main Battle Tank is on the way from Tamiya, and it will be an all new 1/35 scale kit.
It seems that Tamiya has an all new release coming, the JGSDF Type 10 Main Battle Tank. Development of this tank began in the 1990’s, with production starting in 2010-11. The tank is listed as being equipped with a 120mm smoothbore gun developed by Japan Steel Works. As for the kit, there is very little detail at this time, but release is expected for the Summer of 2013.
