Bronco Models has informed Armorama of two new products being released by Diopark which both feature the humble pedal bike in 1/35th scale.
When you think of Japanese infantry transport during World War Two the first thing that should come to mind is the humble bicycle. During World War Two the British Army also made a great deal of use of the bicycle and now Diopark has released two new products, both of these new offerings are bikes. My knowledge of bicycle design is nil, however the first product is described as an Asian bicycle and in the packaging you get two bikes and you also get a box with draws, a wine bottle, and decals. The second new release is described as World War Two British bicycle and which again has two in the product, also along with the bikes you get a child’s wooden scooter.

Those are great. I really like the childs scooter. That would definitely make a nice little side scene in a diorama having a child standing there with the scooter. Thank you, Randy

I thought that was a military scooter developed for Airborne. Being wood it would be an excellent low-tech vehicle with a low to zero radar signature (when being dropped).

The "Asia" bycicle is a style used in Europe until at least the 1980s with minimal changes. Post 1970s modes often had a 3-speed "Nabenschaltung" but that is barely visible Like those Hollandrad is a minor variant with an enclosed chain and bigger splash guards. Most bikes lacked both(1) (1) The enclosed chain was a nightmare when it jumped of the gears
