Dan Taylor Modelworks release more British WWII braille scale figures: ATS drivers, AFPU photographers, and Dispatch Riders.
Dan Taylor has announced that the follow new figure sets are now available.

Cast in resin, these and many others can be purchased directly from the Dan Taylor Modelworks site.

Dispatch Riders
Popularly nicknamed 'Don Rs', the set comprises four figures (two standing, two sitting astride bikes), plus two BSA motorcycles. One of the riders has a foot extended to rest on the ground, the other is driving. The riders’ arms are supplied separately and there is a choice of poseable heads for each of the figures - plus a spare. The kit also includes two Sten guns. The reference used is Jimmy Mapham's D-Day photographs on Sword Beach and they are wearing motorcycle boots and helmets. They have standard, battledress trousers rather than jodphurs (which will feature in a future release).

Army Film and Photographic Unit
It is thanks to the men of the Army Film and Photographic Unit (and equivalent units in other countries) that we have so lavish a reference library of the Second World War. This set of three figures commemorates their activities. The film cameraman may be used in hand held mode, or the parts for a tripod are also supplied. The still cameraman is based on a photograph of Sgt Jimmy Mapham - probably the most famous member of the unit. The third figure is jotting notes or a letter home, leaning against his vehicle. He is actually based on a 13/18 Hussars photograph but fits this set so well that he had to be included.

ATS Drivers
After the popularity of our first ATS set, this second set is based on suggestions by a number of customers. The first standing figure is Princess Elizabeth from the photographs of her leaning against an Austin Tilly whilst doing D & M training . The second standing figure owes more than a little to Honeysuckle Weeks in the ‘Foyles War’ TV series. The other three figures are inspired by photographs we’ve collected at living history groups and from other wartime photographs. The heads are provided separately so that you have a choice of headgear and can pose them as you wish.
