A very interesting looking World War 1 vehicle has been announced by Blitz Kit, and when I say ‘Auto’Canon, I really mean Automobile.
The latest news in from Blitz Kit is a really neat looking use of an automobile during World War 1. The kit represents the Autocanon De Dion Bouton. De Dion-Bouton was a French automobile manufacturer from 1883 to 1932, and this armoured fighting vehicle, if you want to call it that, was a modification by adding a Canon de 75 Mod. 1897. All said, it looks to be a very interesting 1/35 scale kit, and model.

35FS1039 – Autocanon De Dion Bouton

Armorama would like to thank Blitz kit for the update.

Here's a 1:1 one during training : The 75mm gun is used as a AA weapon. Some variants were still in use....in 1940 (from this thread :http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic.php?f=112&t=158847 ) H.P.

It was released but it has been out of production for some time. Blitz usually make re-releases so there is hope ... LINK Register as customer and buy directly from Blitz, if/when it becomes "Disponible" again / Robin

Thanks Robin, I just emailed them. Looking to build one in 1:1 for my WWI centennial exhibit and need the 1:35 for planning purposes. v/r Jon

Are they still in business? I emailed right after posting here and have not heard anything back. Does anyone have an alternate source for this kit? Getting into a bit of a time crunch here, since we're going to have to scale up the 1:35 kit to 1:1 for a new exhibit.

They are still in business but answering e-mails doesn't seem to be their top priority. Sometimes it only takes a few days and sometimes it takes a lot longer ..... There is also a card model (paper, cut, fold, glue et.c) in 1/25th scale. Don't know if this would help you .... LINK / Robin
