ICM has contacted Armorama and let us know about a new 1/35th scale World War Two German truck coming up for release.
ICM has sent Armorama news of the upcoming release Typ 2,5-32 (1,5 to), World War Two German Light Truck. So far we have only been sent CAD images and the box top artwork; however it would appear to have a full engine and ICM usually supply injection moulded plastic tyres rather than vinyl.

you could make an American or British ford from ICM's V3000s .... All you have to do is change the windscreen to a split, change the waistline profile, replace the cargo body, & wheels & tyres..... hmmm
I am surprised ICM haven't done an allied version of this themselves Al

Given the many, many Opel Blitz 4 ton freight trucks available out there, to my mind this would have made a much wiser choice for a lite chassis Opel truck. Here is an interesting one!

Re: Changing ICM's GERMAN Ford V3000s into a US/ALLIED machine- Is that all? I wouldn't hold my breath for a US/ALLIED Ford if I were you... I love it when these kit manufacturers get it backwards: They take an AMERICAN Ford and turn it into a GERMAN one, completely ignoring the original vehicle. They take a potentially great FRENCH R-35 Light Tank, and turn it into a GERMAN Assault Gun/Artillery Piece... Here we go again: "GERMAN sells..."
We could blog ourselves into the next century and STILL not get what we'd like to have. Yeah, there are some new US/ALLIED kits coming down the pike, but the manufacturers haven't even scratched the surface of this potential gold mine yet. As I said in one of my previous blogs: "Maybe if the manufacturers came out with more WWII US/ALLIED AFVS and Softskins, we would buy them..." You can't buy something that isn't available... I'm sick of repeating myself to no avail...

That's capitalism and market economy, producers make stuff that they "know" will sell ;-) Not like in the good old Soviet Union where there was practically nothing to buy but at least one could not complain that it was the wrong stuff. By the way: There is far too few Swedish trucks and tanks in 1/35 scale, compared to Swedish vehicles it's practially raining US and British stuff .... ;-) / Robin

Well clearly we are getting more of what we are looking for these days. I don't dare consider building everything that is coming out!

I have no fear of picking up any new, upcoming 1/35 WWII US/ALLIED AFVs and Softskins- Especially the HOBBY BOSS M19 Tank Transporter Diamond T Tractor w/Rogers Trailer, and the MIRROR MODELS T968 Cargo Truck and T969 Wrecker. We'll be seeing Indian 741B Motorcycles from MIRROR and SWASH, plus a host of other US/ALLIED AFVs and Softskins including MIRROR's Caterpillar D7!!! I won't waste my time with 87,000 different versions of each of the Pz.III's, Pz.IV's, Tiger I's and their related AFVs, nor am I awaiting more SdKfz.10's or pointing SS Officers. At least DRAGON kept their Panther-series kits to a reasonably-sane, well-rounded variety. I can see why DRAGON has an extended selection of US/ALLIED M4-series Shermans; DRAGON saw that there was a NOTICEABLE difference in the models that they chose to produce: we have 56-degree and 47-degree variants, early types with or without direct-vision, plus mid and late types. They've given us different turrets with the appropriate different armament. We also have a nice variety of British and Commonwealth Shermans to chose from... Sure, the DRAGON Shermans have issues- Thankfully, TASCA-now-ASUKA has been releasing much better US M4 Mediums and British & Commonwealth Shermans. IMO, the ASUKA/TASCA M4 kits are the best that money can buy... I'm not going to replace each DRAGON M4 in my collection with ASUKA/TASCA kits- I've satisfactorily corrected, improved, updated and detailed my DRAGON M4's with a host of resin and PE parts, so I'm not about to go out and buy a bunch of ASUKA/TASCA M4's just because the base-kits are better. Their M32B1 is light-years ahead of the old ITALERI/TESTORS kit, and their M4A3E2 "Jumbo" is so much better than the old TAMIYA kit, which has now been relegated to the junk-pile. I'd like to see ASUKA/TASCA do the welded-hull series M4's, M4A2's and M4A3's soon, as they seem to have the M4A1-series pretty well covered... Several of my M4 and M4A1 Mediums are full conversions, having built them with now-discontinued FORMATIONS kits and parts. I was lucky to get my hands on some of these beautiful FORMATIONS Conversion Kits before Rob Irvine decided that he unfortunately had to discontinue them. His M24 Chaffee Full Conversion for the ITALERI donor kit was superb!!! The only major parts of the ITALERI M24 that one needed to use were the lower hull and inside road wheels!!! Keep the faith, Ladies & Gentlemen, newer and better things are coming... FINALLY!!!
