The latest news for Cyber Hobby is an Orange box set including the Patton with an US figure set for Korea.
Cyber Hobby has another Orange box set coming our way, this time something for a Korean setting. This set includes the M-46 Patton and the US Soldiers Pusan Perimeter 1950 figure set. This should add up to a great deal on the start of a great looking Korean War diorama.

9147 – M-46 Patton + G.I. Pusan Perimeter 1950

According to Dragon Models USA, this set is scheduled for a September 2013 release.

I believe Nate was referring to the soldier's uniforms. Is this set's uniforms similar enough to the US M1943 uniform, maybe with some equipment changes?

This re-release of the M46 will fit quite nicely in my collection of "The Evolution of US Armor, WWI to the Present Day"! In response to the question regarding US Army/USMC Korean War uniforms, I think it's safe to say that yes, we are looking at M1943 uniforms and equipment. Let's remember that the war in Korea took place only a few years after World War II. A lot of US uniforms, weapons and other equipment were still stored in US warehouses- Even the pre-WWII OD wool Melton full-length winter overcoats with brass buttons still found widespread use in Korea.

This is a definite buy for me. With a little work it will make a great looking kit.

Chaps, Can anyone confirm if the M46 was ever deployed to Europe, or did USAREUR (or whatever the US Army in Germany was known as back then - and forgive my lack of knowledge) soldier on with M26s? I'm keen to know as I have the Dragon M46 - which presumably is one and the same kit - and would like to portray it in Germany. Thanks in anticipation of a confirmatory answer. PS I fully agree that the searchlight is worth the purchase just to ring the changes on M48s!

Haha, it's all good Jason! Thanks Dennis, I knew they were awful close if not the warehoused gear from WW2. I asked because I love the look of the figs and since D only has a few late ww2 US figures suitable for Europe, I wanted to use these but couldn't find them online anywhere. Nice to know that they'll be available through this sweet kit.

I'd love to know the answer to this one too. Are there any external differences between the M46 and the M46A1? Any word on when we can expect this one in stores? Also, you guys may be interested in this Bison set LINK Erik
