For those modern AFV fans Kinetic Model has another variant of the MRAP coming out way in the distant future.
Kinetic Model has announced the RG-33L MRAP. This vehicle is based on the smaller sibling, the RG-31, but runs on 6 wheels being twice the weight of the RG-31. The vehicle is currently serving with the US Army and US Marine Corps.

61013 – RG-33L MRAP

The only sad news about this announcement is the expected release date is 2014, but then again, that is not that far off now.

As their M-ATV kit was mentioned, I hope the scale factor on this one is closer to 1/35 than 1/32...

Robert, Have you built the RG-31? If so,I'd love some first hand knowledge that the instructions are not another horror. Thanks. Tom

I missed your response until now, and this seems a tad late since I've already commented on your excellent build. Yes, I've been working on both of mine, and the dimensions are spot on. There are still a few things that need fixing, such as the plates on the back of the vehicle, several underside details, and the steps, which need treadplate coming down the edges as well as on the the top. I've worked these issues, but am stalled as a wait for corrected seats. (there's another of those hints.) I've read that the seat height is not correct, but that is not really the case - they are just a little wrong at the top, and could use more detail in addition to needing twelve holes drilled into each set back. I've got enough things to drive me crazy right now without doing those as well. I'll try to post some photos later this week.
