No hints needed really - they announced the T-968 cargo truck at the same time they announced the wrecker. Good to see that the release is getting closer.

I probably know the answer to this question, but thought I'd ask anyway. How come we see all these nifty kits coming along from smaller outfits across the pond featuring American and Canadian vehicles, and yet nothing from North American makers...? Seems a tad odd to me. Just wonderin... thehermit

What North American model companies are there? The only one I know of is Monogram and they apparently have no interest in armored vehicles.

While none are currently doing US armor, they easily could. Several US companies are still out there, all of whom have produced car kits, and several very good truck kits which one would think could be converted to military use. I still have the MPC "Korean War Jeep." MPC, AMT and Polar Lights kits are still on the shelves, but I guess the younger generation isn't as interested in military models. Lindberg used to make some fine kits (along with some real dogs as well) but I don't think we can count on them for anything. To answer your question, other than a small customer base, I'd guess it's the cost of hiring US workers as opposed to paying workers in (mainly) Asian countries.

I was told in an email they will be releasing the dump version too. we shall see.
