$56 for a set of wheels?... Thanks, but I'll wait for a resin set.

The wheels have the correct strengthening rim which creates a significant undercut to the inside of the wheel. A resin wheel can't be made this way because the part could not be pulled out of the mold without tearing the RTV. The cost of these 3D printed wheels and other parts is based on the volume of material and it is not for everyone but it offers a way to produce a part in one piece that has an accurate profile.

I understand why they cost this much (I have designed and bought a lot of 3D printed parts myself) and I agree that they look excellent (I think - I'm very hesitant to order any 3D printed product before I see ACTUAL printout, not just CAD image), but still $56 for a set of road wheels for $54 kit (MSRP - it can be bought much cheaper) is much more than I'm willing to pay. I know that resin wheels probably cannot be made 100% correct, but they can be made 90% correct (with shallower undercut) and still look much better than kit parts and that would be enough for me. And the cost would probably be much below $30. So yes, this is very accurate product, but as you wrote: not for everyone. Or to me more specific: only for a VERY small percentage of modelers...

I agree with Pawel 100%. Panzerart and Bitskrieg make very nice wheels with undercuts (OK maybe less accute undercut) useable out of the box almost, whereas I understand 3D printed part come with problems of their own such as pebbly surface. Not to mention resin wheels are 50 to 75% cheaper. If you want to sell those parts even to weatlhy modellers it would help to see a photo of the cleaned up and painted part, to give an idea of the level of detail. Cheers, Christophe

Just checked the price of Panzerart's M48 resin wheels : about $17. Cheers, Christophe

Legend's old Bradley wheels had undercuts as well. I somehow cannot see the first post in this thread, but I assume there are no undercuts in the kits mentioned. I think Meng and AFV Club have cracked that nut on their kits.

For people who are truly hyper-detail conscious this would probably be useful. However, my experience with printed parts is that there are still those minute steps to be rid of from the printing process and the detail isn't worth the time investment to me. Plus, if I have the $50 I'm going to throw it at an update set for the various details and some casting marks from Archer.
