Ace Models has recently introduced a French AHR 5t truck of Renault origins in 1/72! Check it out here.
In the late 1930s the French army required some new military vehicles for different purposes, but the normal civilian versions were a bit too complicated and didn’t have any unification for service purposes. Renault started working on some simplified versions of trucks for either military or civil use. An interesting solution was presented in early 1940 in the series of AHS 2 ton cargo, AHN 3,5 ton cargo and AHR 5 ton cargo trucks, but the mass production of these trucks came too late.
Ace Models has recently produced a kit in 1/72 of the AHR 5t truck! The kit is reproduced on 5 sprues of styrene with separate tyres and rims and with a very smart looking set of decals too. Check out their website for more details and pictures of the kit and the actual vehicles!
