A new announcement from Dragon Models has an early variant Tiger tank with crew and a famous commander coming in the New Year.
Dragon Models has announced an early variant Tiger I that will include five crew members including Michael Wittmann. The kit from Dragon will include many newly tooled parts to include turret, upper hull, engine deck, and more. The figure set will only be included as a bonus for the initial production release. According to Dragon Models USA, this “S04” Tiger should hit the market in January 2015.

It looks like Dragon is hitting the Tigers hard. I look forward to the Orange Box kits this is sure to precede.

This kit is a Command Tiger, with possibly just one set of decals. We can hope for Earlies to follow. David

I am presuming the second production release may have different decals, as only the initial release included the Wittmann figures.

Yes,these are new figgies. This scene they are modeled after is the occasion of Wittman getting his Ritterzreuz. Also present were Peiper and Wisch as at this time the LSSAH still had a company of heavies in its' PzRegt. J

Your mouth to the Lizard's ear, haha! This kit will likely sell out or be hugely expensive. I would prefer a more vanilla Early, but this is definitely a step in the right direction if they are listening to David.

Heard about US $79.99 which means oevr 80 of my hard earned Euros here in Germany. At the end it's another overpriced Tiger with those lousy DS tracks. So what? For this huge amount of money I can grab 2 or 3 exquisite and really new model kits from Miniart or Masterbox...

That's true, but Dragon's CH Mid-Tiger sold out before those of us who pre-ordered could even get one.
