Meng is fighting hard for your modelling dollar with the announcement of a Merkava MK. 3 D LIC main battle tank late low-intensity conflict type and nochri degem dalet mine clearer. These two items are listed as being available soon.
When it comes to tank models the Merkava in its various guises has a lot of appeal as Israeli vehicles are a very popular area of the hobby. The announcement of a Merkava Mk 3 D LIC and nochri degem dalet mine clearer will I believe prove to be a good seller for Meng. The fact that Desert Eagle Publishing has a hand in these releases just adds to the appeal and I suspect accuracy.

Does the HOBBYBOSS offering of the LIC variant depicts an early or a late version?

The frontal hull is the way you can make a difference between early and late. I don't know if the different upper turret armor is the way to identify the early or late versions for IDF or not....
