DRA6266 - T-34/85 with 'Bedspring' Armor (Premium Edition kit)





The 'bedspring' armor was an extemporised attempt to produce a countermeasure to the German personal AT weapons such as the Panzerfaust and Panzerschreck. It was not seen until the end of 1944. This is DML's second kit of the variant(?) - the first was the Model 1944 in 1/72nd scale. Now, using their improved Premium Edition Model 1944, they have reworked the UTZ turreted T34/85 with the very distinctive add-on armor - a modification which was previously only available from some AM manufacturers. A VERY welcome announcement indeed!
