Meng Models starts the New Year with a Big Bang and announces the latest Leopard model to Join the family, the 2A7.
With the announcement of the Leopard 2A7 by Meng Model, the Leopard family will be complete again I believe. Details on this latest announcement are scant to say the least, but regardless I know there will be many Leopard fans out there saying “Yes”. For those modellers who love the Leopard family, but don’t really know a lot about the tank don’t forget the book released by Tankograd Publishing, this title will likely sell very quickly with this news being released.

I hope we don't see a Justin Bieber kit!

yes i think they would sell quite well in plastic kits, i would welcome the Dachs and the Büffel and i'm sure many other too... maybe you have some good reference material of them if meng would be interasted
You'd be surprised. Revell-Germany produced the Biber in 1/72 and based on conversations I had with them they stated they had considered a 1/35 Biber but it was too risky financially for them as support AFVs do not sell as well as Main Battle Tanks.
Yes that did surprise me, i thought it was alot of builders who want some enginering and ARV kits out after the latest releases... And now the Husky from Afv club... Maybe i'm wrong.. Was it a long time since revell considered to do the Biber? Maybe it have change now, and Revell dont do so many armour kits so they want to take that risk...? But maybe Meng models or Takom as they have released some kit that atleast i thought you would never seen in kits... So lets hope they maybe could do it...i also understand it cost alot to produce a kit and they want the money back for it... But i think they would earn more to release a kit like that instead of a kit another company already have releases... So lets hope

I have the Tamiya Leopard 2A6 with some photo etch (not yet started), but really am looking forward to the Meng 2A7, THE most current Leopard! Do we have a good estimate as to when it will hit the stores, yet? Since Meng appears to be looking at modern stuff of late, has anyone heard of a possible update to the Leclerc Series 2? Again, I have the Tamiya kit with a bunch of photo etch and Blast resin aftermarket stuff, but a more accurate Leclerc would be really cool, too (though the Tamiya is impressive as is)!

While I am sure the Meng kit will be excellent, the Tamiya 2A5 and 2A6 are fantastic kits.

While I am sure the Meng kit will be excellent, the Tamiya 2A5 and 2A6 are fantastic kits.
They were fantastic for the time that they were released. The Meng will be 10x better just from the moulding advances of the last 13 years alone.

The Meng will be 10x better just from the moulding advances of the last 13 years alone.
The Tamiya kits still are fantastic. While the Meng kit may be better, it isn't going to be '10 times better based on molding advances alone' better. I have built the Meng Leopard 2A4 kit and both Tamiya kits. While the Meng is definitely better, your statement is hyperbole.
