The Mighty Jingles was in Dorset the weekend just gone and was part of a convoy that caused some hold ups in the local area. The Armour and Embarkation event took place on the weekend of the 18th and 19th June and represents the Allied Forces moving down to the coast to board the ships that would take them to Fortress Europe.
The Mighty Jingles tells us that the convoy was half a mile long, I can tell you it seemed longer, but not unpleasant in my case. The Tankfest taking place at Bovington Tank Museum on the weekend of the 25th and 26th June this was a great lead up to that event.
