And the second wheel is for a G6 Rhino,a South-African Self Propelled Gun.
The G6 Rhino has been developed in South Africa based on wheeled 6x6 chassis. The main armament is a 155mm gun, which can reach targets up to 58 km away depending on the ammunition used.

This vehicle has been employed in the South African Border War, and was exported to United Arab Emirates and Oman.

The kit comes with photo etch and clear parts, and features steerable wheels and movable gun. The cab interior is included also.

Hi Toby, I was involved with the G6 Marksman trial somewhere near Pretoria, Gauteng Province in South Africa in, I think, 1994. It was carried out by Denel Industries, who manufactured the G6. We could not take photos during the trial, but an illustration appears in the Marksman pamphlet issued by Marconi. If you send me an email address I will try to send you a couple of pages of the pamphlet. Dennis

On pre-order at Luckymodel ... and the price is pretty reasonable considering the size... HobbySearch in Japan has it on pre-order for September.. so it's not too far away Hisham

The price is great! You won't see that price in North America or Europe.

That's great news! Why can't all manufacturers do the same: announce the model and release it a couple of month later... I guess the price in Europe will be in the "usual" range of 50-60 Euro which is not THAT bad, I would say.

http://www.modellbau-koenig.de/Militaermodellbau_135/Geschuetze/Artillerie/SANDF_Self-Propelled_Howitzer_G6_Rhino__i42_53090_0.htm 52 Euros pre-order price seems fair, when you consider that my LHS charges 51 Euros for Trumpeters Fennek.

hmmm... Maybe the coolest looking artillery Piece, but the best one is still our Panzerhaubitze 2000.

The G6 has been around since 1987 - it replaced the G5 artillery howziter.
