ACE Models has a new French truck of the Second World War, the AHN 3.5t that could use charcoal or wood as fuel.
In late 1930's the French army required some new military vehicles for different purposes, but the normal civilian versions were a too complicated and did not have any unification for service purposes.
Renault started working on some simplified versions of trucks for either military or civil use. An interesting solution was presented in early 1940 in the series of AHS 2 ton cargo, AHN 3,5 ton cargo and AHR 5 ton cargo trucks, but the mass production was too late for the French Army.
Eventually all the series were ordered by the Wehrmacht, and were in mass production till 1944.
As gasoline was scarce, this version was developed with a gasifier that used charcoal or wood.
