Red Iron Models updates its roster of kits with new truck subjects.
ZiS (Zavod imeni Stalina) was a major Soviet automobile, truck, military vehicle, and heavy equipment manufacturer with beginnings that may be traced back in 1916 as Avtomobilnoe Moskovskoe Obshchestvo (AMO) or Moscow Automotive Society.

In 1947 it introduced the ZiS-150 truck as the replacement for the ZiS-5. Together with the GAZ-51, the ZiS-150 became the main Soviet trucks in the 1950s. Several variants of the ZiS-150 were produced, one of which was the dump truck version named ZiS-MMZ-585.

Red Iron Models’ announcement covers the following kits:

RIM35027 Soviet truck ZiS-150
RIM35028 Soviet dump truck ZiS-MMZ-585

Both are resin kits rendered in 1/35 scale.

Interesting, it looks like the truck frame is made up from PE. Looks good.

Shudder...a PE frame?! Ouch, and I thought that my eyes were already starting to go, the idea of "metal origami" doesn't make me happy. Probably an age thing. The rest of the added detail parts should prove useful to upgrade older offerings.
