Norbert Jakob kindly informed us about the new 3D figures of Reedoak.
  • French modern Armée de l'Air mechanics taking picture

  • Modern civilian photographer 2 shooting

Both figures are already available in 1/32, 1/35 and 1/48 scales.

Note that figures are printed when ordered, hence they may be some days before shipment.

As you may know, Reedoak lately inverted the keepsprues option, They made all prices down to the former keepsprues discount and figures are delivered with sprues as standard. If you want figures without sprues, you will need to get a remove sprues ticket.

All available products released till now can be checked from http://reedoak.com/ and upcoming products can be followed on Reedoak Facebook.

They look great. The second one is the classic "civie plain spotter" and the "mechanic" is just as useable as a civie fotographer ("cargo/milstyle" trousers are not uncommon wear among "us" photo entusiasts )

With all the seeming resources at their disposal, they crank out quirky, extremely limited appeal fringe figures, when they could be blowing firms like Dragon out of the water with WW II subjects. I don't get it.

Brace yourselves! Here comes the "Do the same thing as everyone else" crowd. I am glad somebody is doing the "quirky" figures. There are plenty of other aftermarket companies out there doing the same old WW II subjects. Time for some cool modern civies. Hey Reedoak. How about a figure of Julie Ludmann of Model-Miniature?

I never met Julie, but if she agrees, would not be impossible. Julie shooting a IDF...in 1/72 There are already several modellers hidden in the collection Norbert

"Modern" (1970s+) civilians are a subject that is severely lacking. As is "modern soldiers in relaxed poses". If one goes through say Tankograds "Reforger" booklets and/or 1980s news articles one could get tons of ideas. And would allow modellers that do the "Cold War/Europe" period more that "another tank in the field" scenes.

More modern figures are OK in my book. No modern battlefield is complete without its selection of civilian journalists. http://www.evolution-miniatures.com/big_sets/ BS-6 in regards to the above female photographer.
