“Any day now” says IBG Models’ Facebook post on its forthcoming release. In the meantime, here's a peek at some of its sprues and how it looks when built, sans photo-etched and clear parts which have yet to be fitted.

With production numbers exceeding 500,000 units the CMP (Canadian Military Pattern) truck accounted for more than 60% of military vehicles made in Canada during the Second World War.

Over the years in its production life there evolved three cab designs – designated as No. 11, 12, and 13. Of note was Cab No. 13’s design as its windscreen was angled slightly downward to minimize glare and also to avoid causing strong reflections that may be observed by aircraft. Lastly all CMP cab designs featured a short, "cab forward" configuration that gave the trucks their distinctive pug-nosed profile.

The 4x4 3-ton truck configuration was the most prevalent CMP type. The Chevrolet C60S falls under this category and was employed in a variety of roles such as a light breakdown vehicle.

IBG Models offers its Chevrolet C60S with Holmes Breakdown (#72032) in 1/72 scale. The 3-ton, 4x4 recovery vehicle is rendered in gray plastic. As a bonus, two cab options are included – Nos. 11 and 13.
