Expect to see more Type 89s in braille scale as IBG Models has an additional three in the pipeline.

The Type 89 was a medium tank used by the Imperial Japanese Army from 1932 to 1942. It was deployed in various combat theaters such as in the Second Sino-Japanese War, at Khalkhin Gol against the Soviet Union, and in the Second World War. It had a crew of four and was armed with 1 x Type 90 57 mm gun, and 2 x Type 91 6.5 machine guns.

Two main variants were produced: Model Ko / Kou (A) and Model Otsu (B) – the primary difference between the two being the engine, as the former was fueled by gasoline, while the latter being diesel-fed. More than 400 units are believed to have been produced in total.
