Fighting Vehicle 4005 (FV-4005) Stage II was an experimental tank destroyer that mounted a big gun on a Centurion chassis.
Its main gun was the 183mm (7.2in) BL field howitzer modified for use with the FV-4005. A fully enclosed turret, though lightly armored, provided full traverse capability. Initiated in 1951, the project progressed over the years till 1957 when the turret was dismantled. A sole example of the FV4005 Stage 2 went on to be preserved outdoors at the grounds of the Bovington Tank Museum in England.
ACE Model renders the FV-4005 Stage II in 1/72 scale. Kit 72429 provides injection-molded parts, photo-etched details, and decals to build this unique heavy tank destroyer, aptly giving it the monicker -- “JS Killer”.
