Slated for release next month is the latest Fine Molds offering on the Type 60 Self-propelled 106mm Recoilless Gun, the Model C.

Mounting two M40 106mm recoilless rifles as main armament, the Type 60 Self-propelled 106mm Recoilless Gun was a light anti-tank vehicle developed for the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) during the 1950s. The production units were built by Komatsu. Three variants were produced, the last being the Model C, which is depicted by this new Fine Molds kit. Compared to previous variants, the Model C used a more powerful liquid-cooled diesel engine. There were changes on the upper panels on the rear of the vehicle as well. A total of 252 vehicles were built during its production run from 1960 to 1977.

Containing more than 300 parts, Fine Molds kit #FM51 features:

• a new molded part depicting the top engine panel of the Model C
• link-and-length tracks
• two crew figures
• four marking options

As built the model stands at 122mm in length and 64mm in width. The target release date is first week of April 2017.
