Two WWII-era Hungarian tanks were announced by IBG Models during the 2017 Nuremberg Toy Fair. Here we see further image renderings of its upcoming Turan I kit.
Based on the design of the Czechoslovak Škoda T-21, the Turan was a Hungarian medium tank during the Second World War. There were two main variants: the 40M Turan I that mounted a 40mm gun and the 41M Turan II with a 75mm gun. There was a third variant, Turan III – this however did not go into production. More than 400 Turan tanks were produced.
IBG Models’ 40M Turan I Hungarian Medium Tank (72047) will be in 1/72 scale.
