Pending its release, IBG Models shares image renderings of its upcoming Imperial Japanese Army tankette.
The Type 94 was a tankette used by the Imperial Japanese Army in the Second Sino-Japanese War, at Nomonhan against the Soviet Union, and in World War II. Although tankettes were often used as ammunition tractors, and general infantry support, they were designed for reconnaissance, and not for direct combat. It is estimated that more than 800 Type 94s were produced.
IBG Models’ Type 94 Japanese Tankette with Trailer (72045) is offered as a 1/72 plastic kit, and has been slated for release by the end of the May 2017.
Background information on the vehicle was sourced from Wikipedia.
