Soon to roll off from Meng Model is its take on the M911 truck together with the M747 semi-trailer.
The Heavy Equipment Transport System (HETS) is a behemoth among the U.S. military equipment. In 1977, to meet the need of the U.S. military, Oshkosh released the M911 heavy tractor. It can haul the M747 semi-trailer for road transportation of heavy equipment, with a maximum payload of 68.95t. Before the M1070 tractor was put into service in 1993, the M911 was one of the most important HETS in the U.S. military service.

Meng Model’s M911 C-HET (8X6) & M747 Heavy Equipment Semi-Trailer (SS-013) contains 843 parts that include precision PE details, reflective foil, and mask stickers for cab windows. Kit highlights:

  • complete cab and power system interiors
  • movable trailer loading ramps
  • front wheels may be built in steering position
Make space for this monster of a truck as the built model is 571.2mm long and 99.9mm wide!

Nothing like a big Oshkosh truck to get your motor running.

Looks like a perfect "base" for one of their fine Abrams kits.

Who do you think will do a better job with this subject -- Meng or Trumpeter? I own several Meng kits but haven't built any yet. I've built a fair number of Trumpeter kits, so I know what to expect from them. How about price -- whose kit will be cheaper?
