Fine Molds is set to release an updated kit of this Imperial Japanese Army medium tank.

The Type 1 Chi-He was an improved version of the Type 97 Chi-Ha medium tank. It featured a more powerful main gun, engine, thicker armor, as well as radio communication equipment. It was produced from 1943 until 1944 with a total of 170 units. All were deployed in the Japanese home islands, in anticipation of the Allied invasion.

IJA Type 1 Chi-He (FM 57). The kit will be released with link-and-length tracks. Also included are 7 marking options. The built model will be 160mm in length and 67mm in width.
