Most (but not all) had their commander's cupola removed, most (but not all) of them were equipped with the long barreled 75 mm M3.

I'm thrilled that someone is offering a new, modern and finely-detailed version of this AFV oddity. Looking forward to seeing the kit in person.

Ill pass on the M3 i have a the Academy M3 dont need another one[/quote] But this has all the right parts and you won't need to change the exhaust and bogie wheels and gun barrel and modify the counterweights. The Academy is actually an early that comes with the long gun just to tease you. This kit has the right configuration for a Tunisan Lee in the box. Hopefully a Burma Lee is not too far behind. And the Lee is one of those tanks I can see having every variant on my shelf because it really is that odd looking. We have every Tiger or Pzkpfw whatever, why not a Lee. Happy days.

Slightly offtopic since it is not about Takom, Miniart has announced an australian M3 Lee in their 2018 catalogue, it comes without the MG-turret and has the long hull gun.

It would be nice if either of the British Lee or Grant kits came with a set of the later stowage boxes and the jettisonable fuel tank on the sponson. Paul
