Leopard Workshop has added new Leopard detail sets to list offerings.
LW030 Leopard 2 Rear Mud Flaps
All of the current plastic kits give injection moulded rear mud flaps, some in the extended deployed position, some in the folded up position with poor definition on the folded edges. These flaps are actually made of rubber with etch parts for the hooks and a stiffener to hold the shape of the side flaps. They can be posed either up or down, just like the real thing.
Produced in co-operation with Tetra Model Works.
LW046 Canadian Leopard C1 Short Antennae
These short antennae were used primarily on the Leopard C1 used in Germany, replacing the previous US-style whip antennae (LW021B). When the Leopards returned to Canada some retained the short antennae. The short antennae was also used on the turret of the M113A2 TUA in Germany, Canada, and deployments to Bosnia, Croatia and Kosovo. The short antennas were replaced with regular antennae mounts and two-piece antennae (LW014B) as supplies of the short ones ran out.
LW047 Leopard Turret Top FN MAG/C6 Machine Gun
The FN MAG is a Belgian 7.62 mm general-purpose machine gun designed in the early 1950s at Fabrique Nationale (FN). It has been used by more than 80 countries, and it has been made under licence in several countries, including Canada (as the C6 GPMG), Egypt, India and the United Kingdom. It is or has been in use on the Leopard 1 and 2s of Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Greece (ex-Dutch 1V), Netherlands, and Norway.
