From Ace Model:The howitzer that fires propane (butane) gas cylinders loaded with explosives and is the latest piece of homemade weaponry used by Syrian rebels (developed themselves). Weapon nicknamed the Hell Cannon and has a range of about a mile. Mortar-like weapons, first rigged up in the rural areas near Idlib by the Ahrar al-Shamal Brigade, then a member force of the Free Syrian Army, in 2013. These artifacts are produced with the materials and tools that can be obtained in a country besieged by war. The homegrown howitzer caught on and was soon produced in slightly different variants in and around Aleppo, and used for urban warfare.
