1/35 scale kits of the M4 Sherman, surely one of the most famous and recognizable tanks of all time, have just got even better thanks to a brand new set of Magic Tracks from Dragon.
These tracks are special because they feature duckbill extended end connectors that were designed to improve mobility on wet or soft terrain by extending the width of the track run and thus reducing the vehicle’s ground pressure.

These brand new tracks feature on an M4A3(75)W tank. Dragon’s kit depicts an M4A3(75)W running on the Vertical Volute Spring Suspension (VVSS) with the addition of these upgraded Magic Tracks with duckbills.

This will be a must-buy for fans of Sherman tanks, especially those who wish to portray one waddling through mud and snow.

So we were just talking about DS vs Magic Tracks in regards to the Hummel release and here it is on another kit. Be still my beating heart; there is yet hope!

I think Dragon missed the mark. I would much rather have DS tracks, for live tracks and Magic Tracks for those that need to sag. Furthermore, I don't see why the tracks for the Sherman as so complex. Thinking I will stick with the older releases for the price margin and track issue.

What could better illustrate my earlier-made point in regards to the Hummel kit than this? Offer BOTH sets you cheap skates; it should only boasts the kit by a dollar cost-wise and win over more people on the fence. Just don't screw it up and boast the price much more than that or you'll defeat the purpose.

oops. That was "boost", not "boast", though Dragon will do plenty of that if this suggestion works.

Sometimes it seems like autocorrect is more aware of what we really mean than we are. Even if nothing gets "boosted" Dragon will be sure to do plenty of "boasting "

I still have the older version of this kit in my stash, and I would much rather have DS tracks for a sherman. Unless I open the box and they are disintegrating

The DS vs Magic tracks debate may never be settled. I personally hate the DS material, it's crap. They need to switch over to a different compound more like Tamiya or Asuka uses. I've picked up several Asuka shermans and I love the track material. I tend to agree that live track would be better off being rubber band style and not individual links. However, when the length ends up being a little to long, then you are left with live tracks that don't hang right. I'm working on an AFV M60A3 right now and finally had to give up on their really nice one piece track. Switched over to their indy link set and it's a perfect fit. But, that set isn't perfect since the guide horns aren't workable. And it's rare occurrence when indy live tracks actually fit right! PSA: If anyone would like to trade their magic tracks for DS tracks, shoot me a PM!
